Aldar & Expo City Dubai Launch 1.75 Billion Dirham Mega Development

In a landmark move for the UAE’s booming real estate sector, Aldar Properties, a leading developer from Abu Dhabi, has partnered with Expo City Dubai to launch a massive AED 1.75 billion mixed-use development. Located near Al Maktoum International Airport and the Dubai Exhibition Centre, this ambitious project aims to further elevate Dubai’s position as a global business and lifestyle hub.

What’s in Store: New Landmarks in Expo City

The joint venture will deliver six new buildings, forming a key part of Expo City Dubai’s transformative master plan. These buildings will be situated next to the Dubai Exhibition Centre, which is undergoing a significant expansion with a AED 10 billion investment. By 2031, the Dubai Exhibition Centre’s exhibition space will increase from 58,000 square meters to 180,000 square meters, becoming the largest indoor event venue in the region.

50:50 Joint Venture to Drive Growth

The development is a 50:50 joint venture between Aldar and Expo City Dubai. It will cover a total area of 103,000 square meters, offering a mix of residential, commercial, and retail space. Once completed, Aldar will manage the assets to ensure long-term success and operational excellence.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, a prominent Dubai figure and Chairman of Expo City Dubai.

Expo City’s Ambition to Become a Global Business Hub

Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Expo City Dubai, emphasized the importance of the partnership in shaping the future of Expo City. She noted that this collaboration is just the beginning, with plans for more ventures that leverage Aldar’s expertise in high-end real estate development. Together, the two entities aim to establish Expo City as a leading international business district.
Al Hashimy highlighted that the project would enhance Expo City’s master plan by creating a dynamic space for both businesses and residents, featuring top-tier residential units, commercial spaces, and world-class retail offerings.

Sustainability at the Heart of the Development

Expo City Dubai is rapidly becoming one of the UAE’s most promising areas, thanks to its strategic location and ongoing infrastructure development. Jassem Saleh Busaibe, CEO of Aldar, spoke about the alignment of the project with their shared vision for sustainable urban living. “Expo City is a key partner in our Dubai expansion,” he said.
The new development will prioritize sustainability, with a focus on green spaces, eco-friendly design, and sustainable mobility. Both Aldar and Expo City Dubai are committed to achieving net-zero goals, ensuring that the development contributes to a smarter, greener urban environment.

Aldar’s Expanding Footprint in Dubai

This project represents another significant milestone for Aldar in Dubai, further strengthening its growing portfolio across residential, commercial, and logistics sectors. Aldar has also recently partnered with Dubai Holding to create luxury residential communities and is working with DP World on a major logistics park. In addition, the company is planning a high-end office development near the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), further cementing its presence in Dubai’s real estate market.

Conclusion: A Vision for the Future

The joint venture between Aldar and Expo City Dubai is set to transform the Expo City area into a vibrant mixed-use district, offering high-quality living, working, and shopping spaces. This development will serve as a catalyst for the region’s growth, boosting Dubai’s appeal as a global destination for business, innovation, and lifestyle.

The strategic location near key transport hubs like Al Maktoum International Airport ensures that the project will play a pivotal role in driving the city’s economic and social development. With sustainability and innovation at its core, the Aldar-Expo City Dubai partnership is a powerful example of how visionary collaborations are shaping the future of cities around the world.
